About Gainesville-SORBA

Gainesville-SORBA is the local chapter for the Southern Off-Road Biking Association (SORBA). Our purpose is to help advocate for off-road cycling, build and maintain local trails, and help gain access to lands for mountain biking.

Our current local trail systems are Chicopee Woods Trail System located near the Elachee Nature Center and the Gainesville College Trail located on the campus of Gainesville State College in Oakwood, Georgia. These two systems combine to provide about 16 miles of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trail. We also have plans to add to these trails and we are working with other land managers to open addition venues to mountain biking.
We encourage anyone interested in mountain biking who lives in the Gainesville or surrounding area to join our chapter and help keep these trails and future trail open for all to use.

    Hi,
My name is Mike Miner and I was the original General Manager of Sun and Ski at Discover Mills Mall and have recently come back to the store and company. We are a full service bike shop and while we do have a relationship with the bike communities in Nashville and Texas, I do not believe we have one established here in Atlanta.

I would like the opportunity to see how we can help in this area, whether it be through trail clean up, bike rides, carrying SORBA literature, providing rider discounts or even bringing out a canopy to certain events and offering road side bike checks and adjustments.

I am rider along with several other members of my staff and feel a relationship between our groups just makes sense and would be good thing for all.

Feel free to contact me at the store or cell
