Just came back into town because I missed riding such a great trail that is Chicopee!! There is nothing I can say but "Bravo!" It has been improved upon since I last rode here. I have rode many trails in the southeast and by far this has to be the best!!!!! So to all the people that put in all the work to make this trail what it is today, all I can say is "THANK YOU!!!"

I echo what Matt says about the trails at Chicopee. I used to ride there a lot but the erosion and exposure of rocks and roots made it unpleasant for those of us over 50 with shoulder arthritis. I have ridden several times in the past few weeks and I find the trails to be awesome!! The way they are laid out along the contour lines, the efficeint use of acerage, the bridges, drainage and signage are fabulous. From the number of vehicles, with tags from all over, you can tell that many folks from outside our community are becoming aware of what a great resource we have here. "Good job" to all that have contributed time and/or money to the effort!

I agree with the comments posted by Matt Banick. I took a couple years off the mountain bike to focus more on the road but this year after getting back into it, I was amazed at the improvements made out at Chicopee! The condition of the trails is amazing. After riding here I never want to go to Bull again!!! Great work!!!!

To whom it may concern,

I'm not sure I know who any of you are here at the Gainesville chapter, but I felt compelled to post a comment regarding the chicopee woods mountain bike trail system anyway. I use to work for SORBA many years ago. I spent countless hours building and maintaining the first "mountain bike" trails ever in chicopee woods. Only on rare occasion have I visited the trail system since the year 2000. The trail system that I once loved had lost it's initial charm in my eyes due to over use and the inevitable erosion that occurs from such heavy traffic.

Tonight I rode the trail system for the first time in ages and I must say that I was completely blown away. This trail system is absolutely amazing! The work that has been done there is brilliant. The trails follow the contour lines like a roller coaster and you really get a chance to experience the beautiful hilly terrain that lies there within. These are trails that are built to last. Keep up the good work!

It's dry at work and your ready for a pm ride but it just dumped an inch at Chicopee and it's soaked. How do you know? Go to this URL to watch a doppler loop where the crosshair is exactly over the parking lot. Very handy in making last minute calls.
