Re-Cap: Trail Weekend w/Subaru IMBA TCC – Tsali
We had quite a group up for the Tsali IMBA/SORBA Trail Care Crew weekend! A little rain each day, but hey it’s Tsali. Saturday was a great work day and the rain held off until we were off the trail. Dinner at the NOC was great with Sweetwater 420 on-hand for a thirsty bunch!
Sunday the rain held off with only sprinkles in the morning. The sun came out and we decided to hit the trail. Don and Joy hit the Right Loop and Steve, Robbie, Chris, and Joe hit the Left Loop and Right Loop. Again, the rain held off right up till the end, even then it was only a quick shower.
Here are a couple of highlights:

Work Party Pics!
Only Scott, Connie, David, and myself showed up. Another fellow (name escapes me) dropped by for a bit of work too just before Dave came in. We got a good bit done for such a small work party, though. Here are some pics!

Chapter Meeting Wednesday, May 2nd: Viewing of SingletrackMINDS!
The next Gainesville Chapter Meeting will be Wednesday, May 2nd at 7pm. We will be showing the film Singletrack MINDS. This film deals with land use conflicts in Marin County California. It it a great insight into the conflicts between hikers, equestrians, and mtb’ers in the trail systems in that area. It also provides a learning opportunity for similar issues we all face. A bonus is that the film provides a little mountain biking history! We encourage all chapters to participate if you can!

Thank you, Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew!
The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew came in and did a great job! The turn-out was great with about 27 people coming to help with the work party! We have a new re-route for the approach to the new bridge on the Outer Loop that by-passes an old, rutted section. What’s more, it preserved a root-drop that people seem to love but gave us a nice burm to run through after it. The re-route takes you from the drop, through that burm, over a new rock descent, then through another burm that facilitates the approach to the bridge!
We finished up Saturday with a slideshow with BBQ and Sweetwater beers! BIG thanks to Lisa Lee and all the work she put in to feed us!
Sunday the rain held off just enough to sneak in a group ride. Good time with good company! Thanks to all who attended!
